  • Received the Tommy Malone Great American Eagle Award in 2010 from the Southern Trial Lawyers Association

  • In 2012, Pete was awarded the Leonard M. Ring, Champion of Justice Award – one of the nation’s highest legal honors – given to a person whose life and career epitomizes a true champion of justice

  • In 2012, Pete received the “Compassionate Gladiator Award” from the Florida Justice Association.

  • Also in 2013, the Kentucky Justice Association honored Pete as the first recipient of the Charles M. Leibson Lifetime Achievement Award.
  • In addition, he received the AIEG “Award of Excellence” in 2014.
  • In 2015, Pete was inducted into the University of Kentucky Hall of Distinguished Alumni, which pays tribute to those UK alumni who have distinguished themselves through their contribution to the Commonwealth and the nation.
